Magadan made the trip to Ballina for a step up in distance to 1900m, with Elione Chaves once again taking the reins. The race was another opportunity for Magadan to showcase his potential, and despite some challenges, he delivered an effort that left his connections optimistic for the future.
After a slow start, Magadan settled nicely into the run and travelled comfortably throughout. As the field rounded into the shorter Ballina straight, he showed determination, running on strongly to secure a 5th-place finish.
The Kim Loy Racing team, along with Elione, were thrilled with Magadan’s effort. Their confidence in his progress continues to grow as he heads in the right direction for what promises to be a well-deserved win in the near future.
Looking ahead, Magadan is being aimed at a 2200m race . The step up in distance and a more favourable track should suit him perfectly, and his ownership group has every reason to be excited about what’s to come.
